Hello,

I ran into a problem with a panorama (saved as .jpg) that I cannot get to load.  I am trying to do a single file for tone-mapping.

The error I get is "Loading LDR file failed. - Merge LDR file failed. - Image file read error".

I can load a single frame (.CR2 or Lightroom converted .jpg), but, not the full sized panorama .tif, the photoshop edited full size .jpg, or the downsized edited .jpg.

The files load in Photoshop or irfanview just fine.

I am using PTAsslembler with autopano and smartblend for the panorama processing.

Also, I just upgraded to the latest EHDR, 1.0.623 with the same results.

Does anyone have any hints / work-arounds?  I can provide more detailed information if needed, I just need to know what info.

Thanks!

Do you happen to know the pixel count of the file (not file size)?

The stitched image is 5981 x 3672, so about 21M pixels.  But, the same thing happens when I resize to 1000 x 614 and save.

Thanks. Is there anything special with that jpeg?

A wild guess: Is one dimension (e.g. the height) very small? EHDR requires both dimensions to be 256 (or 512, I have to check) for the algorithm to run effectively.

What is special, is it is a stitched series of images.  Actually, panorama may be a little misleading, it's more of a mosaic (a couple of rows and a couple extra frames for good measure).  As I said in the previous post, the pixel dimensions of the stitched / cropped image are 5981 x 3672.

I load the stitched .tif into photoshop cs3, make some edits and save as the full size .jpg.  Other software loads the file, but, EHDR gives the error noted in the initial post.
