Thank you.

Yes, these were taken from single 14bit RAW files.
I had the Active D-Lighting enabled in camera.

I think that this alters the ability for subsequent
tone-mapping by View NX or Capture NX as well
as the in-camera JPEG preparation.

The D-Lighting can be changed between the
"High, Standard, Low, Off" levels in-camera and
in post-processing. This suggests that the in-
camera RAW file setting is reversible.

This is my very first photo, made out of 5 jpgs, using EHDR. I am used to RawTherapee, Artizen and Photoshop. EHDR is simple and does not offer as much functionality as the normal software I am using, but still it looks interesting because of it's simplicity and speed. Therefore I will keep an eye of it.

Sweedie,

Thanks for the photo and comments. Fortunately our tonemapping algorithm can allow us to hide the details of Math formulas and provide controls (sliders) in very simple forms. We do not want to introduce concepts and controls specific to our tonemapping algorithm that are unknown to photographers.

Being said that, I am curious to know what other controls you think should be added to EHDR that will help?

I am sorry, this should be my second day of testing the beta, but I can not do that since I get the message that the beta has expired. So there is no more testing to be done. I will stick to my usual softs. Thank you and good bye an good luck with EHDR.

SUbtle use of tonemapping makes this a true HDR image, not cartoony or over-sharpened.. Perfect!

Heres mine few test cases, first one is from one RAW image, second (with a boat) is from three RAWs. Little Gimping was used afterwards to clean up.

Camera is Sony Alpha 300, 18-70mm.

Two more , just Essential HDR, no photoshop. From 3 exposures each, using canon raw cr2 files. Reduced in size for web.
You can see some specs in the lower photo to the right, not dust, birds! I cleaned the sensor thoroughly before doing this test.
